Scale: Unknown. A model of a ship's boat and its method of launching from a ship using Edmund Reynolds May's patent davits. The model is depicted along side a section of a ship and it is displayed in a bespoke mahogany case, glazed on all four sides and the top. The case has four squat button feet and the top of the case can be removed.
The boat has been painted in realistic colours and has a black painted carvel hole with white strakes. The floor is also painted black with green inboard. The seats are unpainted wood. The model is equipped and includes a backboard. The model is attached to a pair of davits which are in turn attached to a section of the ship's side. The ship's side is painted black and white and is secured to the floor of the case.
