Sectional model; Midship model
Scale: Unknown. A model of the midship section of a bomb vessel made entirely in wood and mounted on a black wooden baseboard with four metal supports. The lower hull is painted creamy white with a black main wale above and a creamy yellow bulwark to deck level. The model is fitted internally with deck beams, diagonal bracing and reinforced keel timbers to support the mortar beds above, all of which are finished in a natural varnished wood. The partially planked deck is complete with a single hatchway with the grating missing and two mortar pits, one with its removable cover and missing its mortar, the other without a cover and complete with its mortar on its wooden carriage. The interior of both mortar pits are finished in a blood red colour. There is a paper label fixed amidships at one end which reads: '17'.
