Scale: 1:16. A half block model of the starboard side of a ship's launch (circa 1865) made entirely of wood and painted. The hull has a straight stem and transom stern, and is painted white below the waterline and black above. Features include the stem post, keel, stern post and there is an unusual s-shaped joint at the extreme starboard quarter. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard, painted cream, with a mahogany-stained bevelled frame. Inscribed in the centre of the bottom edge of the frame ‘42Ft launch old pattern’.
