Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A proposal model of an anchor designed to swivel on its shank made entirely in wood stained a dark brown colour. The shank is round in section but becomes square in section close to the top. At this point there are a pair of shoulders and the round headed top bulges slightly to accommodate a circular aperture. The base of the shank flares out slightly and passes through the arms terminating at the crown. The arms are sickle shaped and terminate in a pair of spoon shaped flukes. The model has been made to demonstrate the swivelling mechanism, although this no longer functions.
