Equipment model; Anchor model

Scale: Unknown. A model of a small claw anchor made entirely in iron which has painted a salmon colour. The paint is worn and chipped and the surface is oxidised. The shank is set at an angle of about 60 degrees to the arms. The shank is round in section and terminates in an eye to which is attached a ring and length of chain. The arms are set at 45 degrees to one another and terminate in a pair of arrow shaped flukes. Attached to the shank is a large circular ring made in several sections and with an asymmetrically positioned cross shaped axis in the centre. The longest spoke of this axis passes through the shank and the ring has a limited movement.
