Dinsey anchor (1865)
Scale: Unknown. Model of an anchor proposed by Mr Peter Dinsey in 1865. The model has been made entirely of wood and has a stock that pivots on a wooden dowel. The dowel is attached to a double shank at the end of which two flukes, which can be moved independently, can be folded together against the shank. The designer's visiting card is attached to one of the palms. A label attached to the top face of the pivoting stock reads "DI 2991-63 Sc Mus p69 20 No 203 Class 6".
