Nipper
Scale: Unknown. A model of a chain nipper made entirely from copper which was subsequently lacquered. It consists of a pair of tapering rods which are rectangular in shape and resemble a pair of scissors. The larger tapering end finishes with a pair of bent hooks for engaging the anchor chain cable while at the top are a pair of small circular eyes to which is attached a length of chain (joining it to SLR1914) and a smaller length together with a quick release hook mechanism. One of a set of three models: see also SLR1914 and SLR1915. The model is attached to SLR1914.
