Nipper

Scale: Unknown. A model of a chain nipper made entirely from copper which was subsequently lacquered. It consists of a pair of tapering rods which are rectangular in shape and resemble a pair of scissors. The larger tapering end finishes with a pair of bent hooks for engaging the anchor chain cable while at the top are a pair of small circular eyes to which is attached a length of chain (joining it to SLR1913). One of a set of three models: see also SLR1913 and SLR1915. The model is attached to SLR1913.
