Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a patent stockless anchor made entirely from steel with a gun metal finish. The shank is rectangular in section and tapers slightly towards the crown which finishes at a right angle. Through the crown is a pair of swivelling, elongated, flat bottomed flukes mounted vertically to the shank. In the middles of the crown is a small swivelling D shackle, and just above the crown on the shank is another small swivelling gravity D shackle. The top of the shank is fitted with a swivelling bow shackle. The shank and crown are complete with a number of stamped inscriptions: 'NAVAL TYPE' (twice), 'SMITH'S PATENT B'; 'STOCKLESS ANCHOR 35'.
