Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of an Abbott's patent anchor made entirely in brass and patinated with a gunmetal finish (partly worn and tarnished). The shank is rounded-off and rectangular in section and at the top is a prominent 'D' ring that pivots on a concealed rivet. The shank pivots on the crown through an arc of about 90 degrees. The bottom of the crown and arms form a flat broadly rectangular shape and, in side elevation, the flukes sweep upward. The flukes are large, their bills being level with half the height of the shank.
