Hawkin's anchor
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Hawkins patent anchor (1822) made entirely in brass. The shank is square in section and the top incorporates a ring to which is attached a single link. The bottom part of the shank resembles two links fused together, incorporating two pairs of arms and flukes. The arms pivot within each link on two bolts. Both pairs of arms terminate in arrow-shaped flukes and below them, pointing outwards, are barbs that are integral to the castings. The two pairs of arms are set at right angles to one another.
