Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Griffin's klip patent anchor, sanctioned in 1908, and made entirely in brass. The shank is rectangular in section and tapers toward the top, where it incorporates a D-shackle that swivels on a concealed bolt. The shackle pivots on the crown in an arc of about eighty degrees. The bottom of the crown is flat and there is a cross-shaped aperture in the centre through which one can see the bottom of the shank. The sides of the crown are rounded. The arms extend out from the crown horizontally, then sweep upward to a pointed bills and a pair of spear-shaped flukes. The tops of the flukes are more than half the height of the shank.
