Scale: 1:12. Model of Byer's patent anchor made entirely in aluminium alloy in 1900. The shank is rectangular in section, along one short edge is inscribed "W.L. Byers & Co Sunderland" and along one of the wide edges is inscribed "Scale 1 in 1ft for 40 CWT", and on the other wide edge inscribed in copper plate script "Lloyds Register. London". The bottom of the crown is rounded and the flukes are vertical being half the length of the shank. A swastika symbol is inscribed on two of the palms.
