Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Perrin's proposed anchor (1829) made entirely from lead and finished with a silvery paint and varnish. The shank is diamond shape in section, with slightly flat edges, and tapers out towards the crown. The arms are a crescent shape with the same cross section and curve upwards, and are complete with a pair of flat triangular shaped palms with pointed bills. Towards the top of the shank there is a small rectangular section with a pair of small shoulders either side on which the shank would rest. The rounded top is drilled and fitted with a large swivelling bow shackle.
