Equipment model; Anchor model

Scale: Unknown. A model of an Aylens Admiralty Pattern anchor made entirely in brass which has been either lacquered or plated. The shank is round in section terminating in a square-sectioned length at the top. On two opposites sides of this square section there are two ledges. Above this the shank bulges slightly to accommodate the stock. The stock is also round in section with one end curving downwards, the other end terminating in a small circular knob. The stock is secured in position by a chock on a small length of chain and can be removed entirely from the shank. Above the stock, the shank bulges slightly again before terminating in a point. The second bulge accommodates the shackle ring that swivels on a round-headed rivet. The arms are sickle-shaped terminating in a pair of conventionally shaped flukes.
