Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Wright's clump mooring anchor made entirely from cast aluminium. The main body of the anchor is a flattish rectangular shape with five faces, three of which taper towards the front where the stock protrudes. At the other end, the larger vertical face has a pair of rounded lugs through which a rope or shackle can be attached. The underside is hollowed out and complete with a pair of rounded lugs, to which is attached the moving stock, held in position with a fidded split pin. At the top of the shank, which is rectangular in section, is a large pivoting d-shackle secured by a single pin. On the forward facing angled face the inscription: 'WRIGHTS CLUMP MOORING ANCHOR' has been cast. One of two models of this anchor, see SLR2042.
