CQR plough anchor
Scale: Unknown. A model of a proposed CQR plough anchor (1930-1939). The model has been made entirely of an aluminium alloy and has been galvanised(?), the main stem and forward part of the triangular plough are cast, whilst the two flat lobes are in sheet and soldered together with a T-bar towards the rear holding them apart. At the top of the angled square section stem are small lugs which prevent the upper part of the shank from moving too far to one side. The shank which is rectangular in section and tapers towards the top, is connected to the lower section by means of a metal pin. At the top is a small cast circular eye for connecting either a rope or chain.
