The crown of the anchor consists of a pair of straight arms mounted at a 45 degree angle to the shank and held in place by two metal bands. The arms are square in section at their base and have been formed into a flat, leaf-shaped palms which finishes approximately halfway up the shank. There is a small D-shackle on the crown and a swivelling bow shackle held in place by a pin at the top of the shank.
