Equipment model; Anchor model

Scale: Unknown. A model of an anchor, circa 1700, made largely in wood and iron. The wooden stock is painted black and the iron is pitted and oxidised. The model has a long shank at the top of which is a circular ring bound with cord. The arms are straight and the palms are straight sided. Below the stock the shank is square in section with rounded corners. The stock is made from two pieces of wood, painted black and bound by four metal hoops.
