Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a curved fluke and stock anchor, date unknown. The model is made in brass and iron, which is oxidised and rusted. The shank is rectangular in section and tapers toward the top to which is attached a D-ring that pivots on a flat-headed rivet. Attached to the D-ring is a corroded clip in the shape of a figure "8" to which is attached a long length of rusted Ferris metal chain. The chain is comprised of two separate lengths, of almost equal length, linked by a circular ring. Below the D-ring the shank bulges to accommodate a crescent-shaped stock, which curves in an upward sweep of its arms. The bottom of the crown also has attached to it a small D-ring which appears to be in a fixed position. The sides of the crown are prominent and terminate in two flat vertical surfaces, that are rectangular in shape. The arms sweep upward and terminate in a pair of bulbous flukes. Half way up the arms there are small protrusions, two below each fluke.
