Equipment model; Anchor model

Scale:Unknown.Model of a close stowing anchor of the Inglerfield type. Made entirely from steel, the crown together with the moving flukes is connected by a threaded bolt and can pivot through 360 degrees to allow a flat or close stow of the anchor either on deck or along the side of a ship. The shank is a flat-sided oval shape which tapers towards the flat and shallow v-shaped stock, above which is a large bow shackle. The rotating crown unit is held together by four large screws, parts of which have been stamped with the numbers 1-7. The flukes are parallel in shape and taper towards their ends finishing in a shallow v-shape. At each end of the stock are two holes presumably for securing ropes or chain for handling and stowage. The lower section of this model is interchangeable with the six pronged grapnel crown SLR2079.
