Printed above the flag are the words "H.M.S. NIMROD'S NUMBER, JA'S R. DACRES ESQUIRE CAPTAIN. Printed at the boottom of the drawing are the words "NO. D. CECIT". The drawing was attached to a beige coloured mount with a gold coloured trim around the edge of the drawing.
