Tofua
Scale:Unknown. A pattern model for the stockless anchor from the 'Tofua' (1951). The model is made entirely from wood left in a natural finish and represents an anchors weighing 56 hundredweight. The shank is rectangular in section and tapers towards the flat rectangular crown and arms where it connected by a brass screw bolt. The U-shape crown assembly has been made in two parts allowing the vertical tear drop palms to move independently. At the top of the shank is a swivelling D-shackle secured by pin. On each of the palms hand written in black ink is inscribed "SHIP No 1447" and "56 CWTS." and in pencil on the shank is "SHIP No 1447"
