Boiler model; Sectional model

Scale 1:24. A model of a boiler room on the battleship HMS King George V (1939). The model shows two boilers annotated 'Y1' and 'Y2' together with associated machinery and pipework painted grey, silver and light pink. All of the associated machinery has been annotated with the name of the part so that the model can be used for instructional purposes. A scale figure of an officer is included. There are two plaques inscribed "Model of a boiler room in HMS King George V. scale 1/2" to 1'" and "No.34 Engine room marked". On paper label attached to side of model 'Model of a boiler room in HMS KING GEORGE V Scale 1/2" - 1 Foot'. The model is in a wooden and glass display case.
