HMS Warspite (1915); Queen Elizabeth class; Battleship
Scale: 1:12. A sectional model of the funnel and its uptakes below deck, as fitted to HMS 'Warspite' (1915), a Queen Elisabeth class battleship. The model is made entirely of card, and is finished in gloss paint. The funnel is painted light grey externally with the capping and wire cover, and the section area of the port side painted black. The funnel is also complete with four pairs of steam pipes, and a steam horn/whistle, with a white band just below this. The deck is made to show the separate plates, and painted a gloss black, whilst below deck it is painted red and shows the deck, beams, webbing supports, pipe work and trunking, showing the design and layout of the uptakes from the boiler. The lower portion of deck is painted black gloss, along with the inside of the rectangular and curved trunkings.
