Sectional model; Bow model; Half frame model

Scale: Unknown. A contemporary half bow model constructed plank on frame and made in wood that has been stained and polished. The model depicts the starboard three quarter bow and has been mounted to a rectangular oak backboard and secured to it along the stem and by three wood braces internally. There are 12 separate vertical frames, on two of which is painted two circular hawse holes, supported by twelve horizontal ribbands secured together with copper pins. The backboard has a handwritten inscription in white paint "Made by Sir Robt Seppings in the 3rd Year of his Appren'p". At the top of the rearmost frame a paper label has been applied marked "6".
