HMS Sultan (1870); Warship

Scale: 1:24. A model of a side section of HMS Sultan (1870) made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The model shows a side gunport and a second port with two lids one opening upwards and the other sideways with the deck markings indicating how a single gun can use both ports to fire in different directions. The hull section and the internal bulkhead forward are painted black and the remainder of the model is stained and polished a golden brown finish. The gundeck has two pairs of lines marked that radiate from the two ports in angles of fifteen degrees and thirty-seven degrees.
