HMS Boscawen (1844); Warship
Scale: 1:24. Model of the stern of HMS Boscawen (1844) made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The model shows the stern gun ports for firing aft. The hull is painted black with two broad white strips running along the two lower gun decks. The section face, orlop deck and inboard hull are painted off-white and the inboard bulwarks are painted green. Three gun ports are shown on each of the gun decks on the port and starboard sides, the inner faces are painted maroon. Four gun ports are shown on the lower gun deck at the stern, two either side of the rudder, the inner faces painted maroon. The stern and quarter gallery windows are painted, the lower stern gallery has three gun ports in place of windows, the upper gallery has four gun ports. There is an additional gun port at the stern on the port side of the poop deck.
