Merchant vessel
Scale: Unknown. A sectional model of a stern of a merchant vessel constructed in bread-and-butter fashion and made entirely in natural wood. There are eighteen separate horizontal planks which have been either screwed or nailed together and subsequently carved and fared to produce the required shape depicting the stern of a merchant vessel. It is complete with a horizontal keel, a slightly raking sternpost, and a shallow counter stern.
