HMS Inconstant (1868); Warship; Iron screw frigate
Scale: Unknown. A contemporary sectional model depicting the port side stern quarter of HMS Inconstant (1868), an iron screw frigate. The model has been made entirely of wood and painted black. The front of the section is fixed to a vertical rectangular piece of wood, also painted black, which supports the model in an upright position. The model shows a poop deck and a small section of the main deck, and has a pronounced keel. A metal label has been pinned to the side of the model embossed with 182'.
