Sectional model; Stern model; Waterline model

Scale: Unknown. A model of the port quarter of a warship with a square stern made entirely in wood. The hull is painted copper below the waterline, black above and two creamy white lines along the gun decks. There are four gun ports which are painted red internally whilst the quarter and stern galleries are flat but not glazed with painted flat decoration on most of the structural features. The roof and the lower support of the quarter gallery are decorated with a rich foliage painted in gold which is also reflected in the taffrail above the stern gallery. There are two dummy windows on the upper and lower gun decks at the extreme ends of the gallery which are painted black whilst the third set of windows from the port side have a sash which can be hinged down to convert it to a gun port. All of the internal details including deck beams and decking are painted creamy white with the bulwarks and rails above the upper deck painted an emerald green with a black wooden capping. There is also a hidden gun port in the taffrail, the lid of which is secured by two metal latches. On the side of hull is inscribed "Ship with a square stern".
