Scale: 1:1. Full size sectional design model depicting longitudinal frame for HMS 'Warrior' (1860), a 40-gun single screw ironclad vessel. The model shows a section of a longitudinal frame which is made entirely of wood and painted black overall, and has been made to separate by undoing four long narrow wire pins with an eye at one end.
It has been painted with white lettering and reads "Angle Iron inner edge", "Continuous Transverse frame Warrior", "Short transverse plate between longitudinal frames", "Full size" and "Angle Iron on outer edge (b)".
