Warship
Scale: Unknown. A model showing the frames, frame bolting and deck beams of a warship. The model has been made entirely of wood and stained and polished a dark brown colour. The hull has been depicted entirely in frame, with three gun ports on the gun deck and two gun ports on the deck below. The deck beams of four decks are shown, the upper most deck shows only four beams in position, secured to the ship's side by iron knees. The remaining three decks are most substantial, secured to the ship's side by iron knees and timber chocks, and supported at the centre of the ship by plain and turned timber supports. A section of keel and keelson is shown. On the oarlop deck and the deck above, substantial horizontal and diagonal timbers are shown to strengthen the lower hull.
The model is supported on a simple asymmetric wooden cradle, painted black. The keelson is marked "C" in white paint.
