The section of strake is painted gold and held in position by a section of blue-painted angled steel riveted with five rivets to the boat's side. The section of rail is made of mahogany and a metal plate on its upper surface holds a wooden crutch, and an identical crutch made in brass can also be fitted and accompanies the model. The inboard hull and frames are painted a dark Prussian blue. The model is secured to two figured mahogany crutches.
