Knee Former
Scale: Unknown. Model of a former for bending timber into knees(1813). The model is made entirely of wood carved from a single block of stained and polished mahogangy, with three curved grooves, square in section, on either side into which the steamed timbers are set for forming. Each grooved section is held in place by steel pins and only two out of the six are fitted with steamed timbers.
