Knee Former
Scale: Unknown. Model of a former for bending timber into knees (1813). The model is made entirely of wood carved from a single block of stained and polished elm, with three curved grooves, square in section, on side into which the steamed timbers are set for forming. The other side has a circular, square and half-circular hole cut in together with two pairs of metal eyes on the vertical sides. Only one of the three grooves is fitted with a steamed laminated timber.
