Accommodation model; Sectional model

Scale: Unknown. A model of a ship's pantry complete with furniture and fittings, and depicted showing its position in relation to the ship's hull. The model is made largely in wood, and shows the deck planking wooden deck beams and a deck above, which is removable. The hull has been painted black and in section the method of construction is shown. The model is mounted on a pair of lower deck beams, providing a base. There is an accompanying plaque inscribed "Ship's Pantry."

The dispensary contains a dresser which spans the entire length of one wall with fitted cupboards below and two opening cupboard doors with open compartmental shelving above. The model also contains a cupboard with draws and what appears to be a commode. Wall fittings include a candle stance, a water dispenser and shelving. There are a pair of sliding doors, which are panelled and have permanent ventilation in the panels, stored with the model. The floor has been scored and polished to resemble planking, as has the deck above.
