Sectional model; Structural model; Anchor chain compressor model

Scale: Unknown. A large scale working model of a pair of anchor chain compressors mounted within a section of wooden deck. The model has largely been constructed from stained and varnished mahogany and softwood, with the upper deck complete with a small section of hatch coambing and scuppers with wooden pads. There is two small lengths of metal chain which lead through and down the scuppers, which in turn have been nipped or locked by a pair of metal compressors on the underside of the deck, operating on a curved and piviting arm.
