Equipment model; Deadeye model

Scale: Unknown. A large scale working model of a varnished wooden deadeye, enclosed by a metal strop in brass which can be released with the removal of a pin. This particular deadeye is the lower of a pair and is complete with the angled chainplate for bolting to the hull below the channels. There is a elongated brass chain loop which is also complete with a hinged section allowing the deadeye to be quickly released from the chainplate. There is an original metal display label painted black and inscribed "Deadeye fitted with binding-strop and chain". Wooden deadeye inscribed with catalogue reference number.
