Sectional model

Scale: 1:24. Model of a section of hull of a warship with an entry port and two landing stages linked by accommodation ladders. The model has been realistically painted, with the hull below the waterline painted dark ochre to simulate coppering, with a thin off-white line above, and the remainder of the hull painted black with two broad white bands along the gun decks. The upper gun deck has two gun ports depicted, while on the deck below it shows three gun ports. The ports themselves are blanked off, painted black with red edging.

The inner face of the model is painted off-white and is supported by two mahogany crutches. The crutches and the model are mounted onto a simple wooden baseboard, with a bevelled front edge.
