Component model; Mast model
Scale 1:12? Model of a lower mast of a sailing vessel. The model has been constructed from four pieces of wood which have been rounded off and held together with copper bands. The lower end of the mast is fitted with a squared-off heel, while the upper end has been squared-off and faced to support the fighting top. The wood is in a natural state and the mast bands and hoops have been painted on, but now mostly worn away.
