Scale: Unknown. A model of the mainmast of the second rate 84 gun warship HMS Asia (1824) showing the damage sustained at the Battle of Navarino in 1827. The model is made from wood stained a dark red-brown colour and the mast hoops have been depicted using strips of paper. Many of these hoops are now partly or completely missing showing the unstained wood beneath. The battle damage has been accurately depicted.
