HMS Ajax memoral shield

A brass shield with a wooden gilted border and two pointed metal pegs attached to the back that commemorates the Royal Naval ship of the line HMS Ajax. Inscribed on the shield are the words 'HMS AJAX 74 GUNS BUILT 1809 BROKEN UP 1865'. The brass plaque and iron pegs are slightly tarnished. There appears to be a large amount of dust on the wodden border along with a small amount of damage at the bottom.
