Full hull model; Plank-on-frame; Rigged model

Scale: Unknown. Full hull model of a two-masted schooner. Model is decked, equipped and rigged. The hull planking is made of three different types of wood and colour to illustrate below the waterline, along the boot topping and the upper works. The upper bulwark is painted black and around the bow and stern the model has embossed paper decoration which has been painted with gold paint. Surrounding the grating, by the tiller at the stern, is embossed paper which has been painted gold. Working from the stern, deck features include: a companionway; a sky light with seating on either side; three boats on chocks (two cutters and a gig); and a large deck skylight with striped material (silk). On the foredeck is a smaller companionway and skylight, together with two anchors and a windlass. There are two silk flags rigged to staffs, a union jack on the bow sprit and a white ensign at the stern.
