Equipment model; Anchor model

Scale: Unknown. A model of a plough anchor, made entirely of brass. The surfaces of the model are unpolished and there are numerous file and casting marks present, particularly on the base. The surface is pitted and tarnished. The bottom of the model is triangular in shape and slightly convex. The front two-thirds of the plough appears to be solid and, viewed from above, the raised area of the plough and the ridge at the top of it is shaped like an arrow. The ridge sweeps upwards to form the shaft which extends upwards to an angle of about 80 degrees to the plough. At the rear of the base of the shaft is a protuberance, roughly rectangular in shape. At the top of the shaft is mounted a cylinder with what appears to be a hole running through the centre, which has been filled in. At either side of the cylinder are two short cube-like projections.
