Service vessel; Tender; Trinity House buoy tender
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of a Trinity House buoy tender made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted brick red below the waterline, black above with an unpainted strake running its entire length. Fittings include rectangular mahogany-coloured deckhouse with hand-rendered penwork details; stump funnel positioned atop the deckhouse at the aft end; stump mast abaft the deckhouse and provision for a starboard propeller. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard painted light blue-grey with evidence of over-painting. Hand-rendered on top centre of backboard ‘Model of Twin Screw Vessel for the Service of the Honorable Corporation of Trinity House London.’. Hand-rendered on bottom centre of backboard ‘Thames Iron Works, Ship-Building, Engineering, & Dry Dock, Company Blackwall. London.’.
