Cargo vessel; Collier
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of a collier (circa 1800) made entirely in wood and varnished a dark brown finish. The hull is made up of a number of horizontal timbers that resemble planking. It depicts a vessel that is straight-sided, flat-bottomed and with a through deck. Fittings include a broad and a narrow strake and a rudder with a decoratively shaped top. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard stained a dark brown finish.
