Recreation vessel; Yacht

Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of a yacht (fl.1880) made entirely in wood, painted and stained in realistic finishes. The hull is stained a mid brown finish below the waterline and painted black above. Details include a flush deck, transom stern, a narrow strake just below the gunwale, and a deep rounded keel that forms a continuous curve following through to the stem post and rudder. The stern has a prominent overhang. The model is displayed on a wooden backboard, painted light grey, with a narrow unpainted frame (right-hand side of frame currently missing). The backboard has two fixing holes on its left- and right-hand sides.
