Cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of a steam and sail powered cargo vessel made entirely in wood. The depicted vessel is three-masted, with a single funnel. The hull below the waterline is a varnished wood made up of a number of pieces of butt-jointed horizontal timbers and painted black above the waterline. The hull is flat-bottomed and straight-sided amidships. Fittings include two fine strakes in polished wood running he entire length of the hull; stump foremast, mainmast and mizzen; black-painted stump funnel; and provision for a single screw. The model is a displayed on a rectangular dark mahogany backboard with bevelled edges and two screw holes at either end.
