Hunting vessel
Scale: Unknown. A model of a wooden sledge fitted with a framework to support a canvas screen, behind which one could stalk and hunt deer or seals. The model is made entirely from wood and consists of a pair of vertical wooden sledge rails with a curved forward end, fastened together by four cross frames which in turn support a pair of vertical crutches. At the forward end of each sledge rail is a circular hole through which a long, tapering wooden spar could be passed. The two vertical spars are complete with teardrop ends drilled with circular holes and pass over the two horizontal spars at top and bottom, thus forming a square frame to support a canvas screen. Both the canvas screen and rigging are not included in the model.
